How can we be prepared for winter energy needs?
Last winter’s high energy costs were a huge shock to many Acton residents. Renters, in particular, often have fewer options when facing high bills. This Climate Café session will look at strategies to make apartments and homes as energy efficient as possible, including ad hoc tips along with Mass Save resources for homeowners and even for renters (including some hands-on materials). We will also have information about what is happening in the region to address the energy needs of multi-family buildings, along with resources about special fuel assistance programs for income eligible households.
The Climate Café is a fun and informal gathering where Acton residents can discuss a fossil fuel free future. The idea is to provide a forum where people who have experience in certain areas can share their insights and where folks looking to make changes can ask questions about the process. Each week will be a different focus, with a range of technical and environmental topics.
This event is co-sponsored by EnergizeActon.org and the Acton Memorial Library.
