Planet Power: Exploring Renewable Energy with Children

Bring your children, 2-12 years old, to this interactive program exploring renewable energy. Sponsored by the Chinese Family Network, this EnergizeActon.org presentation will include songs, a special read-aloud, a movement activity where the children “become” a solar panel; and a hands-on solar spinner demo. Best of all, thee are crafts lead by local students (a wind pinwheel and a tote bag with child design). The focus is on helping children understand solar power and wind power. Handouts will be available for parents, including at-home renewable activities for children; clean energy actions for parents; and a renewable reading list for kids and adults.
