Are you thinking about an electric vehicle (EV)? The EV Petting Zoo* is a chance for you to talk with local EV drivers and see a variety of electric vehicles—not only well-known models like Tesla and the Chevy Bolt, but some newer cars to the market such as the Subaru Solterra and the Kia EV6. We hope to feature some of the Town’s new electric vehicles as well! Look for a short update on the current EV marketplace, including which cars qualify for the federal rebates and the current level of state rebates, along with some special tips and good resources, such as the Drive Green program and others.
(*Last year, to the disappointment of at least one young person, we did not have any animals to pet. This year a couple rabbits will be joining our event, courtesy of the Nature Connectionin Concord, MA. There is also a playground for the kids.)
The Climate Café Series 2024 aims to be a helpful, informal gathering place where Acton residents can discuss a fossil fuel free future. Local people who have experience in clean energy technologies will share their insights and answer questions from others who are considering these technologies and who are exploring ways to reduce their carbon footprints.
